 Our Prayer List

PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY:

** Thank you for all the prayers in the passing of my dad. Also, thank you for all the calls, messages and the food. It helped us get through this hard time.
Love, the Klein Family

** We recently received this note sent to our church email address and are not sure who deserves the credit, so we'll share with everyone.

"I work in the Central Office for Tulia ISD. Recently we all received a little note with a package of EXTRA gum on it. The note expressed just what we all need at this time. 'We are saying EXTRA prayers for you during this school year.' Thank you for the kind gesture and prayers."
Rickey Summar,
Educational Diagnostician

If you would still like to contribute to this campaign which helps to cover the cost of cottage groceries and household supplies, you may do so online at hpch.org/giving or mail a check noted "CFC' to: High Plains Children's Home, PO Box 7448, Amarillo TX, 79114

** We are getting a money tree together for Andrew and Megan Shipley to celebrate the birth of their new baby boy, River Neil. Please give your money to Jennifer or Anna and sign the card at the back of the auditorium by today, Sept. 20th.

** We continue today having one Bible class for all ages, beginning at 9:30 a.m. We are also having one worship service, starting at 10:30 a.m. We ask everyone to sit throughout the auditorium for social distancing. If you do not feel comfortable in this setting, we understand and encourage you to watch at home on our YouTube channel.

** All of our other group worship, children's classes, and other activities continue to be canceled until further notice.

** Our Wednesday evening "Pick Me Up" devotional is available every Wednesday evening at 5:45 p.m. on our YouTube channel, "Tulia Central Church of Christ".

 TWO GREAT RESOURCES

Did you know we have two great resources at the church for study? Have you looked at the church library in a while? We are always adding new books to it. Also, have you checked out the sermon tape library? There are many good topics there also.

Thoughts

Take a Good Look at Yourself

A woman walked into a bank to open a new account. As she sat across the desk from the banker, she helped herself to one of his business cards. Looking at the card, she thought to herself that she had gone to high school with a boy by the same name, but quickly dismissed the possibility that he could be the same guy.

The banker, wrinkled and balding, looked much too old to have been in her high school class. Still, he bore a strong resemblance, and the name was the same. She wondered if perhaps he was the father of the boy she remembered.

"Did your son attend high school locally?" she inquired. "No, but I did. Valley High, class of '63." "Really?" she questioned. But I was at Valley High in 1963!" "You were? I thought you looked familiar. What subject did you teach?"

It's funny how we tend to look at ourselves so much less realistically than we look at others. If she took a good look at the face in the mirror, she'd see it was as old as the face sitting across the desk. I encourage each of us to take a good look at our hearts this week and answer this question…Is it as sinful as all the others around you?

Luke 6:41

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

I love you all,

Tim

Thought for the Week

Proverbs 11:28 -- Those who trust in their riches will fall,

but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.
