 Our Prayer List

** Dear Church,
How can I ever thank you enough for all you've done for us during our time of loss. Thank you for all the food at the church and at our home, the visits before and after, the wonderful services, flowers, and the gift from the church. (cross and "pray often, work hard, trust God" plaque) I love you all and God bless you!
Come see me anytime!

** Matt James, minister for the Church of Christ in Crosbyton, will be the speaker for our annual Homecoming worship service next Sunday, July 19th. Matt grew up here in Tulia and was an active member of our youth program. We are looking forward to hearing a message from Matt!

** The AIM program is canceling visits with area churches this fall, but hopes to start back up in January. We will give you more details as that time nears. As for now, we regret that we will not be seeing AIMers this fall.

** We continue today having one Bible class for all ages, beginning at 9:30 a.m. We are also having one worship service, starting at 10:30 a.m. We ask everyone to sit throughout the auditorium for social distancing. If you do not feel comfortable in this setting, we understand and encourage you to watch at home on our YouTube channel.

** All of our other group worship, children's classes, and other activities continue to be canceled until further notice.

** Our Wednesday evening "Pick Me Up" devotional is available every Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. on our YouTube channel, "Tulia Central Church of Christ".

If you are visiting us today, we are honored you chose us. We hope that today's time together will help deepen your relationship with God and widen your circle of friends.

We are a church family who seeks to follow Jesus and be true to the Bible.

Please stay around after our assembly so that we might get to know you better.

Thank you again for worshipping with us today.

Did you know we have two great resources at the church for study? Have you looked at the church library in a while? We are always adding new books to it. Also, have you checked out the sermon tape library? There are many good topics there also.

Talking Turkey about Commitment

Paul Harvey once reported that, during the 1995 Thanksgiving Season, a woman called up the Butterball Turkey Company's hotline and asked whether it was advisable to cook a turkey that had been in her freezer for 23 years.

The customer service representative advised her that as long as the freezer had maintained a below-zero temperature, it would probably be ok. However, she was warned that the turkey would be less than tasty. The woman responded, "Oh, that's what we thought. We'll just donate it to the church."

Sadly, this is a common attitude among many church goers. Rather than give God our best, our offerings many times are inadequate. Rather than make a genuine sacrifice, we offer the things that we don't want for ourselves. Rather than commit to service, we resist being inconvenienced.

Proverbs 3:9

Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.

I love you all,

Thought for the Week

Proverbs 11:18 -- A wicked person earns deceptive wages,

but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
